Business job: online shop

1. The goal and benefit of the job
Sta store  is a trading business that moves in the field of sales of shoes. Sta store sells its products by opening up some shoes store physically in the area of jabodetabek. Sta store also markets its products through the website www.stastore.com and through the application of special shoes sale sta store where the application can be downloaded for free at play store.
The purpose and benefits of web creation and application are expected to expand the marketing of products and to reach out to customers from outside the area of jabodetabek, consumers outside of jabodetabek area may know of the existence of stores sta store. The existence of this e-commerce service customers can place an order without having to come to the store so it saves effort, time and cost. Increase flexibility so that consumers can make transactions wherever the customers is located. Enhance consumers safety and comfort when transacting in large numbers, because it does not need to carry cash. Make it easy for shop owners sta shop in managing sales results report (sales) in sales per day or per month. Make it easy for shop owners in the management of data items (new stuff and old stuff).


2. Process chain of the job
Sta store is an online store that sells various types of shoe for men and women by website (www.stastore.com) and application (sta store). The first sta store promoting its products by instagram. Sta Store gives a lot of attractive offers to introduce the brand such as discounts. Interested customers can make an order by the website or application. The customers must to create an account first to make an order and then login. If the customers have logged in, they can choose a male or female shoe category. After that choose the desired shoe category and then choose the color and size that their want to place an order. Then, the customers enter the shoes that their want to buy into the shopping list. If the customers are sure, they can continue for the order and payment process. In the order process the customers have to fill personal data such as the name, address, and contact. After that they can choose the desired payment method and then confirmation if it has been paid. Sta Store will send the customers order according to the address provided.

3. Experience
            The shoe business is one of three businesses that will never recede because it is a basic human need, namely clothing, food and shelter. The market opportunity of the shoe business is still very broad and has the potential to be maximized. It has become a natural law that many interesting and potential things will plunge into it, just like this shoe business. One way I win competition is by building a strong brand /product brand. In reality, building this brand requires a long process and not a little capital. But with perseverance and hard work, I try to maximize it with the limited capital that I have.


The first time I started was to become a shoe reseller or dropshipper. With the limited capital I have, I realize that I don't need to force myself to make my own production or buy a lot of shoes. As a beginner, all I need to do is learn to be proficient in shoe marketing. So in the first stage, I focused more on the marketing of the product. When I become a reseller / drop shippe, I look for suppliers who are trusted and pro active in collaboration. Getting suppliers of this kind is easy-easy. Sometimes there are good suppliers but it is difficult to work with. sometimes there is something nice to work with but the items are expensive because they are not the main supplier, and so on. In this case, for me, the important thing is to work together with several suppliers, later in the journey, I will definitely find out which of the best suppliers in my opinion and will make the supplier my business partner in the future.


After finding the best supplier, I had a good relationship with him and was in direct contact with him. I try to communicate my wishes and express the system of cooperation that I want to establish so that the supplier understands and gets a win-win solution system. This is important for me to do at the beginning, so that the supplier pays attention to and understands my sincerity in working together. After running this business for a while, I started selling with science. The problem of product supply has gone wrong, now my focus is to sell as many products as possible. With the limited capital I have, the best way to sell is online and with a dropship system. With the dropship system, there are two benefits at the same time that I get. First I do not need to go out of capital to stock the product, secondly I do not need to spend money to rent a business place.
 
With the dropship system, I can save capital for more important needs, namely investment in promotions and sales. I learned about self-taught online marketing techniques through googling, but it would be better if I invest more in this marketing field, because here is the key to business. If I have mastered the knowledge of online marketing, then I can sell anything, this will be my stock and will be the main capital in building the next business.


Then I started selling online through Instagram because the social media was very much affected. One, it has made me overwhelmed with handling orders every day, and finally I recruited 4 employees to help me become a Customer Service. That is the importance of science, if we invest in science, we will never lose. At that time I was fully using the dropship system, recruiting 4 employees. Now that's great dropship, with capital that is almost zero rupiah, but the benefits can be maximized.

The results of the profits that I have earned have not been spent first but have continued to be collected for further business development capital. At this stage, I already have enough capital to stock my own products and start opening a physical store. Online marketing continues to be promoted aided by offline marketing through a shoe store. At this stage, I need new employees of at least 1 employee to serve buyers in physical outlets. Because I have stocked the product, there is one more science that I have to master, namely the science of inventory management. All items must be recorded every day in and out. The process at this stage continued until I collected a lot of capital for the preparation of my own production. Before producing it myself, there were many things I had to learn. Starting from the ins and outs of materials, the production process from beginning to end, and management of production employees. After all I have learned, it's time for me to jump in my own production. This process will consume quite a lot of energy and my mind compared to the two previous processes. With the possibility of greater risk in front of me, but the potential profit and development of my business will rise rapidly if I graduate at this stage.

By producing my own shoes, the profit margins that I get are getting bigger, because I also master the marketing. Some people are satisfied at the level of being able to stock the product and have a physical store. Yes there is nothing wrong with the choice. But for me who likes challenges and has a vision to grow my business to be even bigger, then entering the production stage independently is the right step. By producing it myself, I will have complete control over my business. 

The final stage that I run after being able to produce my own shoes is to create a partnership system in the form of distributors, agents, and resellers. Distributor package for partners who work together in large numbers. Package Agent for partners with moderate purchases. Reseller package for small purchases. I have to work extra hard to build this system so that all partners are well served. 
 

4. How to delegate the parts of the job


Running an online shop is not easy. As the owner of the shop, we can’t control the online shop by our self. Because of that, we need to delegate some parts of the job because it’s more effective and efficient. So, to make it easier the owner can hire some people or have a cooperation with an expert.  We have to find someone that we can trust and believe the can do their job really well.  To get better result from delegating we can build a relationship with our employee, assign the right task to the right person, hold weekly meetings and be available if they need you. In our online shop, we can delegate some parts of the job become production team, design team, finance team, admin team, and also promotion team. Design team will make the design of the shoes and send it to the production team. So, the production team will make the shoes based on the design. Finance team will control the flow of the money and make a report of it and they will hand it to the owner. The last one is admin team, they will in charge for the warehouse. So, they will be checking the stock of the shoes and checking if the package already sent to the customer.

From the weekly reports above, we know that there are 10 units that have been sent to our customers. And there are 4 units of shoes that have to packed. I am so glad that during this week we have many orders. But, it’s a big responsibility to finish this tasks. 

For the department in charge of painting shoes or custom the shoes, you have many tasks that have not been completed. There are 5 orders for Vans Disney Edition (Mickey) and 4 orders for Vans Flower Edition that must be finish before 14 January 2018. And there are 6 orders of Vans Disney edition (Monster Inc) that not started at all, and it must be finish before 18 of January 2018.
And then, for the department in charge of packing the product, you have any tasks to pack the product that ready to pack. There are, 1 unit Vans Kids-Blue and 3 units of Soccer Shoes-Red that not started. Your deadline is until 12 of January 2018 then we can shipped the orders to our customers.
Overall there is an increase in sales of the shoes. I hope we can give all of our effort to this project. That’s enough for the weekly report, thank you.
 

6. How to cope with some changes needed by the customer

If the customers want to exchange shoes for the product we sell, we are willing to replace them. With conditions, if the shoes we send don’t match the number, color, or model that has been ordered by the client. If the mistake comes from us, for example, the customer orders shoe with size 38 in red, but we send shoe in size 40 in black, we are ready to replace them with shoes that match the order with a period no later than two days after the item is received by the customer. If the shoes match the order is empty, we as the seller will return the customer's money according to the nominal of the shoes. Customers who want to change shoes must send proof of order and proof of payment to our official account or the contact person what is stated on our website. If a mistake comes from the customer, for example, she ordered a red shoes, but it turns out when the item was received, she feels unsuitable and wants to exchange it, so we as sellers do not have the responsibility to replace it with other items.

7. The final step of the project
Sta-Store provides a safe and reliable delivery service to customers. Items sent via shipping services that have worked with Sta-store. When the item has been received and damage is available, the customers can contact customer service, and Sta-store will replace the damaged item. After the item has arrived at the consumer, Sta-store provides a review column for customers to provide responses to Sta-store service. This review column is used to know the performance in the sale of product.
